SEN Teaching Assistant

Supply Teachers Nottingham

Supply Teachers Required for Secondary School's in Nottinghamshire and Nottingham City - To be kept as busy as needed.

School Cover Supervisor

Teachers UK are currently seeking for Support Assistants to work on a flexible basis in Secondary Schools in the Mansfield region and surrounding areas.

As a support assistant you will be asked to cover lessons, support pupils on a 1:1 or in a small group and support the departments where necessary. There is likely to be times you will lead the class so we are seeking individuals who are confident in their behaviour management skills.

The support assistant role is ideal for those who are seeking a new challenge or and would like experience in a classroom environment. It is likely that you would be asked to work in a variety of schools including secondary, primary and SEN settings and we are happy to provide additional support and training if necessary.

As a support assistant your duties will include:

  • Managing the student’s behaviour
  • Supporting the class where possible
  • Promote school values
  • Follow school policies
  • Distribute and collect work for the lessons
  • Tidying the classroom after the lesson

As an education assistant you will be expected to cover classes where the teacher is absent; there will be no marking or planning however you will be expected to interact with students and support them when required.

English Teacher
