Business Studies and Economics Teacher – Sheffield
Salarydepending on experience and post AWR 12 week Qualification
We are currently recruiting for a Business and Economics teacher to work on a part timeon either a 0.6 or 0.8 basis within one of our client schools in the East Sheffield area. You will be predominantly teaching Business Studies although you will also have some Economics lessons to teach to GCSE as well. We are looking for competent teachers of Business and Economics who can deliver innovative and creative lessons that engage, stimulate and challenge students to achieve their full potential.
The successful candidate will have the:
Be available until July 2018.
Ability to teach GCSE Business Studies and Economics
A passion for teaching and who are focused on inspiring students to achieve above beyond their potential
Proven track record of successful intervention leading to raising students attainment in both Business and Economics
The ideal candidate will:
Hold a Business Studies or Economics degree and hold a PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification - you must hold QTS or QTLS
Experienced candidates will have a proven record as an excellent classroom practitioner (NQT’s will have shown they have potential for excellence)
NQT’s would be expected to participate in intervention programmes
Be well informed on current educational issues and initiatives
Be prepared to develop best practice through coaching and mentoring
Be prepared to participate in extracurricular activities
Show commitment to professional development
Be adaptable and flexible and calm under pressure
As a part of the interview process you will be expected to plan and deliver a 20/30 minute lesson which you will advised upon in advance of the interview date.
