Mansfield Town’s Football in the Community has received a cheque for £5000 from local recruitment company Teachers UK.
Education recruitment specialists, Teachers UK, have supported Football in the Community since 2014 and said that they are delighted to continue working with the group. “We continue to support Football in the Community because of the valuable role they play in our local area. They are an inspiration and are able to offer hundreds of children a variety of opportunities.” said Louise Hamby at the Mansfield I-Centre based company. “Through our work with Football in the Community we have been lucky to turn dreams into reality for many local school children who have each enjoyed meeting the players on match day and becoming the club’s mascot for the day.”
In 2015 Teacher’s UK donated £2000 to the community cause, raising the sum to a whopping £5000 in 2016 and now again in 2017. Teachers UK have announced they will also continue to sponsor an Autumn, Spring and Summer Mascot competition for children nominated by their schools and will sponsor this year’s Primary School’s John Radford Cup. The company also provide signed shirts and hospitality days and this year will sponsor the Mansfield Town Football in the Community Primary School Football kit.
Andrew Rogers, Operations Manager of Teachers-UK said “We are dedicated to giving back to the community we work in, and supporting Football in the Community helps us to do that in a really exciting way. The children they work with have fun and learn new skills with the dedicated staff from Football in the Community, who inspire and encourage young people to develop a love of sport and exercise, no matter what their abilities. Also, Teachers UK staff just love to see the youngsters faces light up when they receive their special awards and it’s a fantastic part of our work!”
Jordan Ferrer from Mansfield Town Football Club says that the support offered by Teachers UK is valued. “We are grateful to Teachers UK for their continuing support of the work that Football in the Community carry out and look forward to working with them more in the future. The money donated will help to provide fantastic opportunities for local children, as well as the full mascot day prizes that Teachers UK sponsor throughout the year.”
