Teachers UK are currently looking to recruit an excellent KS2 Teacher for a good Primary school in the Chesterfield area.  The role is to start September and will be for the full academic year.

The successful applicant will be responsible for  planning, marking and preparation of lessons and would be expected to conduct lessons that are in accordance to the schools expectations.The ideal candidate will have experience of Teaching KS2 children and delivering the curriculum to a high standard.  They will be supported with all aspects of their work by a very experienced KS2 team and have a full time classroom support. 

In order to be considered for this post, you will need to:

  • Hold QTS or equivalent recognised UK teaching qualifications
  • Have a good knowledge of the current National Curriculum
  • Have high expectations of achievement and behaviour and always strive to get the best out of your students.
  • Have strong behaviour management skills

SEN Teaching Assistant

Teachers UK are currently working with a successful Primary School in the Chesterfield area who are looking to recruit an enthusiastic part time SEN Teaching assistant. This position will be working 1:1 with a child in foundation stage Monday to Friday mornings.

<strong>The role will include:</strong>

  • delivering tailored teaching activities to pupils on either a one-to-one basis or in small groups
  • make sure that the pupils you support are able to engage in learning and stay on task during the lesson or activity
  • support the social and emotional development of pupils, reporting any issues when required
  • support the teacher in managing challenging pupil behaviour and promoting positive behaviour
  • listen to pupils read and read to pupils as a class, group or one-to-one
  • guide and monitor pupil progress

<strong>Skills:</strong>

  • a positive approach to working with children and the ability to motivate, inspire and build rapport
  • a strong regard for pupil safety and well-being
  • respect for diversity, as you’ll be working with pupils from a range of backgrounds
  • interpersonal skills to build relationships with pupils, parents, teachers and governors
  • reading, writing, numeracy and communication skills
