Prior to working in a school, all supply staff employed through Teachers UK would be fully cleared with CRB disclosure in place.
In cases where CRB is pending (application submitted to CRB awaiting return) Teachers UK will at least have cleared all candidates by the DfES, List 99 check, References, Identity and Medical. Schools wishing to take candidates under this arrangement would be notified of this procedure verbally and in writing.
Where the CRB clearance identifies any issues that are pertinent to schools, Teachers UK informs the school immediately.
Teachers UK are one of the very few agencies that still pay for their candidates CRB checks.
