Teachers UK are seeking a Teaching Assistant with Team Teach training for a Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) based in Derby. We are particularly looking for enthusiastic and ambitious Behaviour Support Assistants, ideally with a Team Teach qualification to join our agency for a position supporting a group of children with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH). This a full-time position working on an ongoing basis from September 2020.
We are looking for candidates with a minimum of Maths and English at GCSE, Grade C or equivalent and an in-date Team Teach certificate. Ideally, we are looking for specific experience and skills working with children with SEMH or have the transferable skills to be able to support children with SEMH in a challenging environment and have an understanding around the complexities of SEMH. As a person you will be passionate and dedicated to supporting the education of young people and be committed to making a real difference. This is a very challenging role and the children will present extremely challenging behaviour and therefore you will need a high level of resilience in order to gain the rewards from you support.
Typical School hours are 8.30am-3.30pm with an hour for lunch. Any variance to this will be confirmed by your consultant prior to your assignment.
