SEND Teaching Assistant

Teachers UK are seeking a patient and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to work in schools across Nottingham, working with pupils who require additional support to access learning. 
The role may involve working on a 1:1 basis or with small groups, depending on the needs of the school. 
The schools we work with have a strong focus on inclusive practice and pupil support, with a collaborative staff team and clear support structures in place, making it an excellent opportunity for a SEN Teaching Assistant looking to develop their experience. 
 
SEN Teaching Assistant benefits:

SEN Teaching Assistant role requirements: 

• Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant or SEN TA
  • Experience supporting pupils with SEND in a mainstream school setting
  • Understanding of needs such as ASD, ADHD, SEMH or speech and language difficulties 
  • Ability to build strong, supportive relationships with pupils 
  • Strong communication and behaviour management skills 
  • A patient, resilient and nurturing approach 
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil wellbeing 
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply
